Studio Coordinator/Design Assistant

Liam is currently pursuing his studies in Landscape Architecture at Merritt College, where he is developing a deeper understanding of the relationship between plants, people, and place. Inspired by the natural landscapes of the Bay Area, he approaches design with a curiosity for how thoughtful interventions can create a sense of harmony between the built and natural environment. At David Thorne Landscape Architect, Liam supports the studio across both creative and administrative roles, contributing to the collaborative process and helping projects move thoughtfully from concept through development.

Growing up in the Bay Area, Liam developed an enduring appreciation for its diverse landscapes, from the redwood forests of the coast to the hills and shorelines surrounding the San Francisco Bay. These environments continue to inform his perspective and interest in creating landscapes that feel grounded in their setting. Outside the studio, Liam enjoys hiking, running, painting, and exploring the natural world—pursuits that continually deepen his appreciation for landscape, material, and place.
