MANDY SHLUGLEIT

Senior Associate

Mandy’s background combines the artistic, the technical, and the practical. She brings years of horticultural knowledge with a focus on plants from Mediterranean climate regions such as California, the Mediterranean basin, Australia, Chile, and South Africa. Mandy is always looking for opportunities to create visually pleasing, functional landscapes that provide habitat through a diverse selection of low-water plants.

With training in fine arts painting, Mandy brings a strong eye for color, texture, and composition, developing landscapes that create a vibrant, engaging experience. She is passionate about the dynamic relationship between people, plants, and the landscape as a sculptural form, and values the importance of a strong sense of place. Mandy strives to create unique, personalized landscapes across a variety of styles, scales, microclimates, and ecological considerations. Outside of DTLA, Mandy enjoys teaching landscape design courses at Merritt College and spending time with her family!
